The Daniel Wolf Prize has been established in memory of Dr. Daniel Wolf, a brilliant retrovirologist and frequent speaker at the Cold Spring Harbor Retrovirus Meeting. At the time of his tragic and untimely death at the age of 32 on September 24, 2009, Daniel was a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Stephen P. Goff at Columbia University, and was poised to move to an independent position at the University of Edinburgh. The Daniel Wolf Prize is intended to commemorate his work and celebrate his life, and the prize is awarded annually for the best poster presented at the Cold Spring Harbor Retrovirus Meeting. A cash award accompanies the prize.
